"D" GROUP DRIVING LICENCE

For motor vehicles designed for passenger transport with no more than 8 passenger seats except for driver’s seat; a trailer with maximum authorized weight not exceeding 750 kg may be towed.
Conditions for granting of driving licence:
- Age 21
- Medical fitness
- Professional fitness
- Applicant is holder of B group driving licence
- Currently, an applicant for training may be accepted being a holder of B group driving licence. Normally, these requirements are totally marginal. Due to training intensity, both applicant’s and driving instructor’s safety and actual requirement of previous truck driving experience, applicants without C group driving licence applying for D group extensions are not accepted: Gradual obtaining of driving licences for both groups or a combined extension training from B group to C+D. group are recommended.
Training extent:
Theory instruction
- 10 classes: instruction in vehicle operation regulations
- 12 classes: instruction in vehicle driving and maintenance
- 10 classes: instruction in driving theory and safe driving
- 2 classes: first-aid instruction
- 4 classes: revision and tests
Practical training
- 14 classes: vehicle driving training
- 2 classes: hands-on maintenance training
- 4 classes: practical first-aid training
